NourishFolio privacy notice

Updated 11 October 2026

NourishFolio is a food and personal-progress diary. This notice describes the current service.

Information you provide

Google sign-in provides your account identifier, verified email address and name. We use these to identify your account. Your diary stores the meals, measurements, medication entries, notes and photos you choose to submit, together with dates and related metadata.

Storage and access

The application and database run on DigitalOcean in Singapore. Photos and database backups are stored in private Amazon Web Services storage in Singapore. The application restricts diary access to the signed-in account. Authorised service operators may access data to maintain, support or recover the service. Keep temporary photo links private.

AI meal estimates

When you request a meal estimate, the meal information and selected meal image are sent to OpenAI through its API. Usage and estimated costs are recorded to enforce service limits. Weekly progress photos are not submitted for meal analysis by the progress-photo feature. Estimates can be inaccurate; review them before saving.

Cookies and operational records

Secure cookies maintain your sign-in session and protect login requests. The server keeps operational and security records needed to run the service, such as request information, errors and usage counters.

Retention and removal

Saved records remain until removed or otherwise managed by the service operator. Removing an entry from the interface does not necessarily erase its audit history, original upload or backup copies. Backups and retained storage versions have separate retention periods. For questions, account access or deletion requests, contact the service operator using the support email shown on the Google sign-in consent screen.
